Obtaining Test Results

Please telephone after 2:00pm on the day that the doctor or nurse has indicated that your test results should have been processed and a receptionist will usually be able to give you the result. Sometimes, where results need more careful explanation, you may be advised that the doctor would like you to make an appointment to come in and discuss the results.

Ordering Repeat Prescriptions

Repeat prescriptions will be issued at the discretion of the doctors to patients on long-term medication.

In order to process your repeat medication request we ask you to give us 48 hours notice (2 working days excluding Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays). You will receive a tear off slip with each prescription.

Please check the items carefully to ensure that they are correct

If there are any items that you no longer use, discuss this with your doctor so that they can be deleted from the list if your doctor feels that this is appropriate. When you need any medication this tear off slip should be brought into or posted to the surgery indicating which items you require.

NHS Wales App is now available for patients to order their repeat medication via the internet. If you would like to register for this service, please ask at Reception for details.

Please note, the receptionists are not allowed to accept requests for repeat prescriptions over the telephone because of the danger of mistakes being made and because it is in your interest that telephone lines are kept as clear as possible for emergencies and other enquiries. If you are a patient for whom we do not dispense medication, we can post your repeat prescription to you if you enclosed a stamped addressed envelope or you can register with a local chemist who will submit and collect your repeat request on your behalf – to do this please visit your local chemist.

Obtaining Medicines Urgently

If you need to obtain medication urgently i.e. when the practice dispensary is closed, you can telephone NHS Direct on 111

NHS Direct have details of the late night, weekend and bank holiday opening times for all pharmacies in the area.

Registering With The Practice

To register with the practice please telephone 01352 710529 or call in at the surgery and you will be advised about the registration process and given the appropriate forms to complete.
